Definition:

Kidnapping is the taking of a person against his/her will (or from the control of a parent or guardian) from one place to another under circumstances in which the person has their freedom taken away by acts of violence, force, threat or intimidation. Then there is unlawful restraint which means being accused of intentionally restraining another person. Next, it is aggravated kidnapping which involves abducting an individual with the intent to hold him for ransom or reward, use him as a shield or hostage and/or inflict bodily injury on him or violate or abuse him sexually.

Consequences of Kidnapping:
