A bicyclist is vulnerable to serious personal injuries and death in any accident involving a car, bus, or truck. They may be at high risk for head injuries including skull fractures and traumatic brain injuries, especially if they were not wearing a helmet, or did not fasten their helmet properly. In fact, more than half of bicycle accidents of head injuries caused in bicycle accidents result in death.
