Who Will be Affected by the New Obama Immigration Policy
In an effort to address immigration reform, the Obama administration is easing its policy of deporting undocumented immigrants who arrived in the U.S as children. This applies to illegal immigrants who came to the U.S before turning 16 and are younger than 30, that lived in the U.S for 5 consecutive years, have no criminal record and have earned a high school diploma, a GED or served in the military.
Under President Obama's new immigration policy, undocumented youths will be eligible to apply for a two-year work permit, with unlimited renewals. This announcement will change the lives of approximately 800,000 young immigrants who live in fear of deportation.
Los Angeles County Superior Court, the Nation’s largest trial court system, has plans for the most significant work force reduction in its history. The Los Angeles County Superior Court will lay off hundreds of employees and cut many remaining staff salaries. These actions are in response to reductions in state funding.
By June 30, 2012, the Los Angeles County Superior Courts will lay off up to 400 employees, close up to 60 courtrooms, cut down the amount of court reporters and get rid of the Informal Juvenile Traffic Courts.
Many injuries can be sustained in a car accident. Drivers and passengers can be injured in auto accidents that cause major damage to their vehicle and accidents that leave the vehicle relatively undamaged. The most common injuries that result from small scale car accidents are coined "soft tissue injuries". Despite being one of the most common types of injuries, a soft tissue injury is sometimes difficult to deal with legally.
Soft tissue injury means an injury to the joints, muscles, tendons and microscopic fibers that connect tissue. These injuries are somewhat manageable, but they can cause excruciating pain and suffering and make movements difficult to manage.
