Definition:

A postnuptial agreement, also known as a post marriage agreement, is a voluntary marriage contract that is created after a couple's wedding. A postnuptial agreement is similar to a premarital agreement, except for that it is created after a marriage. Postnuptial agreements usually take place between a couple that has established a prenuptial agreement, but has overlooked some assets or have experienced changes in preference. To put a postnuptial agreement into effect, it must have the following elements:
