Multiple news sources are reporting that Hawkeye Entertainment, the holding company for the hip Los Angeles night club Exchange LA, has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy. According to L.A. Downtown News, the company has been embroiled in a legal battle with the property's landlord regarding the funding of important repairs that were needed in order to comply with city codes. The landlord allegedly owes Hawkeye Entertainment $1.64 million.

"As a result of the disputes and additional work required, the city of Los Angeles won't issue a final certificate of occupancy for the property," states The Wall Street Journal, which Hawkeye Entertainment indicates could have "devastating consequences" for the future of the business.
